Our client has a brand new opportunity for a qualified Network Support Specialist to join their team onsite in Princeton, NJ.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all network activities like installations, upgrades, migrations, incidents, performance tuning activities, reporting, and patching etc.

• Well versed in Switching, Routing, and network equipment

• Able to configure and troubleshoot Layer2 protocols, such as: VLAN, Private VLANS, VTP, STP, DTP, Trunking, Stacking, Etherchannel, DOT1Q, SVI etc.

• Able to configure and troubleshoot Layer3 Protocols such as: BGP, OSPF, Static Routing, High Availability Protocols(HSRP,VRRP,GLBP), Floating Static Routing, Failover etc.

• Provide support for IPv4, NTP, ACLs, Route-map, Prefix-Lists, PBR, AAA, TACAS, RADIUS, CEF, SLA, TRACK, SNMP, EEM, Syslog, Flow-export

• Perform router access control management

• Perform fault management of routers and switches

• Perform corrective actions to resolve faults to ensure high network uptime

• Troubleshoot and debug incidents using Wireshark, Putty

• Deploy monitoring tools for identifying problem areas and early rectifications if required

• Perform IOS / firmware upgrades

• Provide troubleshooting support for Internet, LTE, EPL and MPLS

 
Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required in related field and a minimum of 2+ years of related experience, OR an associate's degree with 4+ years of related experience, OR 6+ years of related experience in Routing and Switching with a valid CCNA or higher certification

• Experience with Cisco Routers and switches / Routing protocols / BGP / OSPF / Switching / Stack Switches

• Knowledge of Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls

• Knowledge of Aruba Wireless Controller and Clear Pass

• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

• Strong customer service orientation

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

 
 
 
$40.00 - $42.00 per hour
